Content management involves the process of managing and delivering content. It involves creating and promoting content and finding ways to distribute it. Content management software is used by organizations, publishers, media companies and bloggers to create, edit and publish content. The difficulty with creating a coherent strategy for managing content can be attributed to the fact that there are many different types of content that need to be managed such as text, images, video, audio files etc. A company’s online presence can be managed via one-to-one communication with customers through social media platforms such as Twitter or Facebook so it is wise for a company to have a clear understanding of what kind of content they need to create in order to maintain customer satisfaction.

According to the research, the most common contexts are social media, email marketing, video content, and website content. Content management is a process of developing an overall strategy for your content that includes determining what type of content you want to produce and how often.
