CATIA is the world's most popular engineering and design software for 3D CAD product design. It is used in a range of industries to design, simulate, analyse, and create items, including aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, and industrial machinery, to mention a few.

CATIA V5 is primarily a parametric and non-parametric modelling CAD programme. It can work with a variety of various brands of merchandise. CATIA V5 largely superseded CATIA V4 by introducing more features, ease of use, platform support, and so on.

Extruding a profile or a surface and removing the material that results from the extrusion constitutes creating a pocket. The application allows you to set the creation limitations as well as the extrusion direction. The restrictions you have are the same as those for building pads.

CATIA – Assembly Design 2 (ASD) creates mechanical assembly limitations by snapping pieces into place with mouse motions or graphical commands. Assembly Design 2 uses a top-down or bottom-up method to assist designers manage complex, hierarchical assemblies of CATIA V4, V5, VRML, or STEP elements.
