CATIA V5 Drafting Workbench: Unfolded View & Auxiliary View

  • In the Views toolbar, select Auxiliary View ( Projections sub-toolbar).
  • On the right view, click a point and then an edge, or an edge, to draw a depiction of the plane.
  • Drag the callout to the desired location.
  • Drag the auxiliary view into place.

  • Under the Drafting window, in the Views toolbar, select Unfolded View ( Projections sub-toolbar).
  • Choose a part surface to work with. The sheet metal reference wall plane will be used automatically.
  • Select the sheet. The expanded view is shown.
  • Choose an axis line to work with.

The auxiliary view is projected from the front view of a three-view (orthographic) drawing in the first type. The auxiliary views are projected from the top and side views in the second and third types of drawings.
