Sheet Metal Exercise 3: Mounting

The mounting feature of Catia v5 makes it easier for users to work with their designs. The tool allows users to mount parts of a design directly on the model, which reduces time and effort in creating complex designs.

In the Catia v5, there are two types of mounting. The first type is a one-sided mounting. This type of mounting is used to attach a part to an assembly that is already attached to another assembly. The second type of mounting is a two-sided mounting. This type of mounting is used to attach one assembly to another assembly that is not attached yet.

There are two types of mounting in Catia v5:

  • The first one is the part mounting, which is used to attach parts to other parts. You can use it to connect a part with a hole on the top of it, or you can use it to connect two blocks together. The second type is the assembly mounting, which is used to attach an assembly together and make sure that they are aligned properly.
