Tap or click Thread/Tap. The dialogue box for Thread/Tap Definition appears.
Select the Face of the cylindrical surface you want to thread. 1. Thread and tap definitions are independent of the cylinder geometry's polarity.
As the limit face, choose the upper face. Planar limit faces are required.
You don't require a file; simply type the thread's information into the fields using the "Standards" option, and the thread will appear, as long as the thread box in the "Properties/View/Dress-Up/Thread" menu of the drawing view you want them to appear in is checked.
In the Dimensioning toolbar, select Thread Dimension ( Dimensions sub-toolbar).
In the front view, select the thread to be dimensioned.
Re-click Thread Dimension.
Select one of the two lines representing the thread to be dimensioned in section view B-B.
The thread notes contain information about the model's basic hole features. When you create or change the definition of a standard hole, you can choose whether or not to include a thread note. Click the Note tab once the Hole tab is displayed.
Thread notes give information on common hole features in your design, such as the hole chart values for that hole. Modify the CALLOUT FORMAT field in the Hole Chart to personalise the format and information displayed in your thread notes.
