Choose the inner face to be removed as the face to be removed.
Select both faces as shown in the Faces to Keep field.
To preview all the faces adjacent to the purple face that will be deleted, check the Show all faces to remove option.
To confirm, click OK.
Select Replace Face from the drop-down menu.
Select the left-hand horizontal face. This face, which is the replacement, is now shown in blue.
Choose the right-hand horizontal face. Three tangent faces have been chosen as replacement faces and are shown in purple:
To confirm the operation, click OK.
