Remove Face & Replace Face Feature in CATIA V5

  • Remove the face
  • Choose the inner face to be removed as the face to be removed.
  • Select both faces as shown in the Faces to Keep field.
  • To preview all the faces adjacent to the purple face that will be deleted, check the Show all faces to remove option.
  • To confirm, click OK.

  • Select Replace Face from the drop-down menu.
  • Select the left-hand horizontal face. This face, which is the replacement, is now shown in blue.
  • Choose the right-hand horizontal face. Three tangent faces have been chosen as replacement faces and are shown in purple:
  • To confirm the operation, click OK.
