Only the unfurled view allows you to mirror a section.
Select Mirror. The dialogue box for Mirror definition appears.
Create a plane by right-clicking on the Mirroring plane field and choosing Create Plane. Make a plane like the one below.
In the Plane Definition dialogue box, click OK.
In the Mirror definition dialogue box, click OK.
The original sketch is removed and a new one is made about the reference plane with the symmetry command, however we can keep both the new one and the original sketch about the reference plane with the mirror command.
In design, the Mirror command duplicates the sketch around a reference plane. If we need to break the connection between unique and mirror pieces, we must explode, which will break the connection between the original and mirror components.
Insert your component. then, when working with the product, go to the top of the window and select Insert->Symmetry. Choose your symmetry plane, your portion from the tree, and your preferences in the dialogue box. Ok.
