You can use the join command to choose a surface from the dump body, then right-click on the join box and select the distance propagation option, which will select all of the surfaces and proceed to the merging distance option. You will receive the joined surface if you enter 0.01 as the merging distance and click OK.
A plane, face, or surface can be used to split a body. The goal of this job is to demonstrate how to split a body using a surface. Split is now open. CATPart document
Select Split. The dialogue box for Split Definition appears.
Choose a surface. Click OK after selecting 1 as the separating surface.
If you need more help, right click on the body you want to be the primary body and choose "define in work object"... then right click on the body you want to merge and pick "body obect" (at the bottom) then "add" if you need it.
