To export a STEP file, go to File -> Save as..., select STEP-Format (step, stp) as the file type, and then go to Options. A new dialogue box will open. The following options are available under Output: Geometry as solids and surfaces: the geometry will be exported as solid and surface bodies.
You can either drag the STP file into your running CATIA session or use File+Open.
Tools> generate part from assembly opens your assembly.
In the part tree, select the assembly you want to convert.
Click the OK button.
Save the new component.
Click Open after selecting the CATPart or CATProduct file. The CATIA V5 file is imported into SOLIDWORKS. An imported CATPart file can be saved as a SOLIDWORKS part, and an imported CATProduct file can be saved as a SOLIDWORKS assembly.

It's bad I come to know about this course and this platform very late, believe me this course contents every basic thing as well as advance things. This is really a great course design for biw designers. People are paying lakhs to learn CATIA and here you are getting it absolutely free. And the teacher is also great person he really teaching us from the empty head to professional level. Thank you so much for your efforts sir.
