This toolbar is located in the lower right corner of the screen. Simply undock it if you can't see it well. From the Tools Palette, select Force Dimension on Element.
Select Tools > Options > Mechanical Design > Drafting > Generation from the drop-down menu. Check the box for Analysis after generation. In the Generation toolbar, select Generate Dimensions. The dimensions are calculated automatically on the front view, which is the only view in this particular drawing.
On the CATDrawing you just opened, choose a dimension (of any type).
Click the Value tab on the Edit-> Properties menu.
If necessary, press the More button.
Adjust the available settings as needed.
Click OK.
Choose the Restricted Area option. a single partial portion The Management of Framed (Basic) Dimensions dialogue box displays.
Choose the measurements indicated on the part. When you click, the dimension is changed to a basic dimension.
