To make a section plane, go to the Dynamic Sectioning toolbar and select Dynamic Sectioning. The section plane appears automatically. In relation to the part, the plane's centre is at the origin of the local axis system. A section plane has its own local axis system and constraints.
From the menu bar, choose Tools > Options. The Options dialogue box appears.
From the left-hand tree, expand the Digital Mockup category.
To open the relevant tab, select the DMU Optimizer item.
Select 3D Cut as an alternate shape; it will be activated immediately.
Customizing the Toolbar
Select the Tool-bars tab under Tools -> Customize.
Choose New..., then Assembly Design Workbench (left window) and Space Analysis (right window).
The divide and trim command can be used to remove content. Trim is a mix of trim and join, whereas split simply cuts the material. The shape fillet command can be used to trim, connect, and fillet material.
This option indicates highlighting the edges. It's used to hide the powerful bit that appears in front of the sketch and makes it difficult to work.
