The default settings of sheet metal tool properties are controlled by sheet metal parameters. Each parameter has a setting that may be found in the Model Properties dialogue box. Set or alter sheet metal parameters in the Parameters dialogue box, or in the Sheetmetal Preferences dialogue box, except for thickness.
The three most important parameters that make up the sheet metal properties are the material, thickness, and surface finish. The material is what the sheet metal is made of. The thickness refers to how thick or thin the metal is, and the surface finish refers to how smooth or rough it is.
