Sheet metal pieces are flattened. You can produce a flat pattern of a sheet metal part by using the Flatten and Save As Flat commands after you've built it. In the Sheet Metal environment, use the Tools tab Flat groupFlatten command to produce a flat pattern in the same file as the formed sheet metal item.
