Design Tables can be found under Tables in the Insert pull-down menu in SOLIDWORKS. When the programme is launched, the user has several options for creating a table.

Name of the configuration, dimension name, and dimension values

  • Right-click Design Table in the ConfigurationManager and choose Edit Table or Edit Table in New Window.
  • Make any necessary changes to the table.
  • To close the table, click outside of it.
  • If a notice appears confirming that the design table has created new configurations, click OK.

The table must be designed to facilitate sorting, multi-selection, batch actions, and data grouping. Although not every table may require all of the capabilities, we needed to make sure we covered them all.
