Select Section View from the Drawing toolbar, or Insert > Drawing View > Section from the Insert menu.
To manually build a section view, open the Insert Line PropertyManager by clicking Edit drawing.
Draw a line through the middle of the section.
Place the view with a click.
The model is displayed as if cut by planes and faces that you specify in a section view in a part or assembly document to demonstrate the internal construction of the model. You can choose to include or exclude bodies or components from section views. Turn on and off the view.
Select Detail View from the Drawing toolbar, or select Insert > Drawing View > Detail from the Insert menu.
The Circle tool is active, and the Detail View PropertyManager appears.
Draw a circle.
When the view is at the desired location, click to place it.
A detail view enlarges a specified portion of the drawing view (from whence it was formed). The diagram below depicts the many entities created by the VIEWDETAIL command, as well as the terminology used to refer to them. The look of each of the mentioned entities is controlled by the detail view styles.
