Trims open sketch entities that are sandwiched between two boundary entities. Trims open sketch entities that are not contained within two bounding entities. The Trim PropertyManager allows you to choose a trim type and control additional trimming settings.
To project an entity (sketch, solid, surface, face, plane, or surface spline) onto other surfaces or curved/planar faces, use the SOLIDWORKS Split Line tool. You can also split faces among numerous bodies with a single command.
A sketch entity's length can be increased (line, centerline, or arc). To expand a sketch entity to meet another sketch entity, use Extend Entities. Extend Entities in an open drawing to extend a sketch entity.
Go to install dir sampleswhatsnewpartssplit and open it.
Select Split from the Mold Tools toolbar or Insert > Features > Split from the Insert menu.
Select Surface-Extrude1 for Trimming Surfaces in the graphics area.
Select Selected Bodies from the Target Bodies menu in the PropertyManager.
