Pattern - Part 1 in Solidworks

  • Make a hole or assembly cut.
  • Choose one of the following options: On the Features toolbar, select one of the following options: Pattern with a straight line. The pattern is round. Pattern based on a table. Pattern that is inspired by sketches.
  • In the PropertyManager, adjust the parameters as appropriate.

  • From the FeatureManager design tree, select the sketch you want to wrap.
  • On the Features toolbar, click Wrap, or go to Insert > Features > Wrap.
  • Select Wrap Type:... in the PropertyManager.
  • If you choose Emboss or Deboss, you can establish a Pull Direction by selecting a line, linear edge, or plane.
  • Press the OK button.

Create multiple instances of one or more features using circular patterns that can be spaced uniformly around an axis. When a pattern is based on a single feature, the feature colour of the original feature is passed down to the pattern instances.
