Chamfers in Solidworks

  • On the Features toolbar, click Chamfer, or go to Insert > Features > Chamfer.
  • Parameters for Chamfer: In the graphics area, choose an entity for Edges and Faces or Vertex. Choose one of the following options:
  • Make a click.

Fillets are rounded corners on a design (or part) that help to decrease stresses and avoid rapid deformation. Chamfers, on the other hand, are the sloped or angled edges of a design or part (usually at 45° or 60°).
