Rapid sketching is a process in which you create a representation of a part or a design in a quick and dirty method. By using rapid sketching in solidworks, you can immediately see what the design will look like without going through the tedious process of creating it from scratch. Rapid sketching is a we taught as an exercise to get our hands to move quickly and crisply. Rapid sketching is pretty much like getting an idea out of your head as fast as possible onto paper. This way you can capture your design ideas without any interruptions or interrupts to your workflow. Rapid sketching is used extensively by architects, product designers, mechanical engineers and many more.

Instant 2D SolidWorks is a concept that has been around for a while. In the past, it was not practical or possible to have so much granularity in modeling software. This has now changed with the advancement of AI and machine learning. Instant 2D is a sketch feature that allows to you to quickly modify your dimension in a more organic way.

You can turn a face into a sketch in SolidWorks by first placing the center line on the face and then using the Line and Circle tool. Next, select the Circle tool and press the spacebar. Then draw circles around the eyes, nose, mouth, and chin. You can also use other tools such as Rotate or Freehand to compress or stretch facial features. Step 1: select the planer mode face on which side you want to. Step2: Clocking the tool on the sketch toolbar click the sketch. Step 3: To sketch on a different mode , and return the current sketch. Select the new face and open the sketch.
