In Autocad, a mechanical project is a form of drawing that depicts mechanical components. This is usually accomplished by utilising the Mechanical Symbol library's symbols. You can choose it from the New menu to start a new mechanical project.
A mechanical project is a project that is more focused on the engineering and design of the project. This type of project usually includes things like HVAC systems, elevators, escalators, and other mechanical systems.
There are many components of a mechanical project in Autocad. They can be broken down into three categories:
Drawing the geometry of the mechanical part or assembly. This includes drawing lines, arcs, circles, etc., to represent the geometry.
Adding dimensions and annotations to the geometry. This includes adding text and dimensions to represent size and position information for each part.
Adding annotations that define how parts fit together or what they do when they are assembled together. These annotations include text, arrows, and symbols that define how parts fit together in an assembly or what each part does in an assembly such as how it functions.
The first step is to create a new project file.
Select "New" from the "File" menu.
Choose a name for the project and select "OK".
Now you will see a dialog box with two tabs: "Design" and "Document Properties".
Select the tab labeled "Design".
In this tab, you will see three different panels: Project, Units and Drawing Limits.
Here, you can set up your parameters for the mechanical project in autocad.
To begin, make a Tool Palette Group.
Select the Manage tab on the Customization panel. Palettes of tools. Find.
Right-click in the bottom, blank region of the Customize dialogue box beneath Palette
Groups and select New Group.
Give the tool palette group a name.
Close the window.
