HATCH Command in AutoCAD

 

This video will learn about different types of Hatches and how to use the Hatch command in AutoCAD.

To draw a hatch, we can select it from our Draw panel. Or we can enter it's a shortcut in the command window.

As soon as we select the hatch command, we will see that the whole command menu changes.

We can select a different type of hatches from the command menu. We have got three different styles, Pattern, Gradient, and Solid.
We will select Pattern type and see that there are different types of pattern which are already inbuilt.

We can pick any one pattern of our choice and then using pick points. We can decide where we want our pattern to be placed.

Initially, if the pattern is not seen accurately, we need to increase its scale from 1 to 20-30 then we will be able to see the way we selected.
Now we will select the Solid hatch type. Its provide solid color to the object. We can also change the color of it from the edge color option.
Now that all type of hatch is gradient. It consists of different kinds of shades, and we can also manually change the shade colors. It displays a selection of angle fills, either as a tint, a shadow, or a smooth transition between two colors.

As soon as we click on the object, we will see that the shade we selected accurately appears.

Command Hatch

  • Command Hatch is a feature of AutoCAD that can be used to fill a closed polyline with a hatch pattern. A hatch pattern is a set of parallel lines, usually crossing at right angles, that are used to fill an enclosed area.

Gradient Of AutoCAD

  • AutoCAD has many gradients, which are the colors you see in the gradient bar at the lower left of your screen. You can use them to fill an area with color or change the color of an object.

The gradient fill command is used to create a gradient fill, or a gradual transition between two or more colors. To create a new gradient fill in AutoCAD, first select the desired objects, then choose the desired options for the gradient.

A gradient is a fill that changes color gradually from one color to another. Gradients are used in AutoCAD to create a smooth transition between colors. They are often used for shading, highlighting, and creating 3D effects. Gradients can be created by clicking on the Gradient tool on the Draw panel or by using the GRADIENT command.

The gradient color scale is a representation of the intensity of light. The colors are usually represented in a linear fashion, with one color gradually changing into another.
