Polar, Otrack and Dynamic input in AutoCAD
In this video, we will see how to use Polar, O'track, and Dynamic input in AutoCAD.
Whenever our ortho option is ON, we can draw the line at 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270°. But suppose if we want to draw the line at angles like 30°, 60°, 75°, 125°, then we will use the polar co-ordinate system method. But that method is very time-consuming, so in place of that, we can use the Polar form, and the shortcut key for using that method is F10 from our keyboard.
If we want to draw any line at any particular angle, we can draft tools polar setting and select the angle according to our requirement.
A green line will appear at a particular angle that we selected when we will draw any line.
We can also manually add the angle of our choice by tracking settings and drawing the line on it.
To track any point for any object, we use the track option. The shortcut key for using the O'Track option is F11 from our keyboard. We can also track the circle's center point from its vertical and horizontal lines.
We have another option that is known as the Dynamic Input option.
The shortcut key for using this Dynamic input option is F12.
It is used to provide a command interface near the cursor in the drawing area. We can also manually add the angle and dimension for our objects.
