Insert a block in AutoCAD
Now we are going to learn that how to insert Block in AutoCAD.
The shortcut key for using the insert command is the 'I+Enter' key.
As soon as we use this command, one menu will open in front of our screen, in which we can select one of the blocks we have already made before.
We select any one block and click on the insert button, then that block object will be inserted into our main screen. We can insert any block for as much time as we want. The object of the retain option that we inserted will appear on the screen as a block object.
That means that when we select the inserted object, it will select the whole block at once. While when we select the source object, it will get selected single by single.
The object of the Convert to Block option, which we have inserted, will appear on the screen as a block of object only. Both the source and the inserted object will be the same.
The Delete option that we have inserted will appear on the screen as a block object. There is no source object as we have used the delete option to delete it, but still, we have inserted it back in block format.
We can also change the scale of inserting the block; this will insert the block according to the scale we give regarding the source object.
We can change the scale by providing its data for X, Y, and Z planes.
We can also change the block inserting rotation option by providing a certain angle we want for rotation.
We also have a block unit option, i.e., it will ask us to change the unit from inches to millimeters or vice versa if we want to do it.
So this is how we can insert a block in AutoCAD by using the Insert command menu.
