Select Objects In AutoCAD
Now in this video we are going to see that how we can select drawings and which are the types of selection objects.
Types of selection are basically two, Window selection and Cross selection.
For window selection we will need to click one point in front of our screen, and then move from left to right with cursor in hand, the color of selection area is blue. And then we can click once and window will appear for selected area.
Now for cross selection we will need to click one point in front of our screen, and then move from right to left with cursor in hand, the color of selection area is green with dotted boundary lines.
Now when we apply windows selection on any object then we can see that if any line or circle is fully inside the window area then only it will get selected and highlighted, otherwise if half inside the window doesn't make any change.
While we select with the cross selection method then even if the small part of object is touched in the cross selection area, than the whole object gets selected.
Now if you want to select any particular inside Line or object then we can use 'Fence' option from Command prompt. From whichever object this fence passes it will get selected.
Now we will see the 'Wpolygon' option which is called Window Polygon. This simply creates a Window polygon to select objects which comes inside it.
Similarly we have 'Cpolygon' option which is called Cross Polygon. If any object passes from inside than it will be automatically selected.
