  • In AutoCAD, there are three primary dimensions styles: Standard, Architectural, and Mechanical. The standard dimension style is the default setting for dimensions in AutoCAD and it is used to measure distances on a drawing. The mechanical dimension style is for mechanical drawings that need to show distances from center lines or datum points.

Dimensions are an important part of drawing in Autocad. They allow you to specify the size of a line, circle, or other shape. In this post, we will cover how to change dimensions in Autocad:

  • To change the dimension of a line, go to the command line and type "LIMITS". This will bring up a screen with all dimensions on it.
  • Click on the dimension you want to change and then input your new measurement.
  • To change the dimension of a circle, go to the command line and type "CIRCLE". This will also bring up a screen with all dimensions on it.
  • Click on the dimension you want to change and then input your new measurement.

There are a few steps to edit dimensions in Autocad:

  • Select the dimension you want to edit by clicking on it with the mouse.
  • Right-click on the dimension and select Properties from the drop-down menu that appears.
  • In the Properties window, change the value of one or more of the dimensions in this window according to your needs and click OK to save your changes

The dimensions of a drawing in Autocad are the width, height, depth, and length. These dimensions are measured in units. Dimensions in Autocad are important because they determine the size of an object on a drawing.

The best way to edit dimensions in Autocad is to make sure that the dimension is selected and then change the value of the dimension.
