Isolate or Hide Objects in AutoCAD Drawing

 

In this video, we will Learn How to hide and isolate any object in a AutoCAD Drawing.

We have given the icon of isolate object in our drafting tools. If it is not available, then we can customize it and bring it to our drafting tools.
When we click on that drafting tool, we will be asked to isolate or hide an object.

First of all, we will select the hide object option and then click on the objects we want to hide or remove.We can also select the object first and then press enter key for doing the same.

Now we will select the isolate object option, and in this, we will click on the objects we want to stay on. All the remaining unselected objects will be gone.

So like this, hide command and isolate command are precisely opposite of each other.

Using a Paper Space Viewport to Hide Items:

  • Choose one of the following options: Hide All except Selected Objects in Viewport by
  • clicking the icon. Type HIDESELECTEDINVP at the command prompt and press Enter.
  • Select the things you want to conceal in the model.
  • Press Enter or right-click.

Layers can be turned on or off:

  • Select the Layers panel from the Home tab. Properties of the layers. Find.
  • Choose the levels you want to enable or disable.
  • To change the status of the selected layers, click the icon in the On column. = on; = off; = on; = off;

Copying Properties from One Object to Another:

  • Go to the Home tab, then to the Properties panel, then to Match Properties. Find.
  • Select the object whose properties you want to duplicate.
  • Enter s (Settings) if you want to define which properties are copied.
  • Press Enter after selecting the objects to which you want to replicate the properties.

Use the Match Properties tool, or type MATCHPROP or MA in the Command window, to quickly replicate the properties of a selected item to additional objects. Select the source object, then all of the objects you want to change after clicking the Match Propetries tool.
