How to Design Center and Tool Paletts

Palettes can be easily customised. To get started, right-click the grey title bar on the side of the palette and choose Customize Palettes to open a dialogue box where you may add New Groups and Palettes.

  • Go to 'Tool Palette File Locations' in the 'Files' tab and open the tree.
  • Select 'Add', then 'Browse' to find the custom tool palette location, then click 'Open.'
  • After that, click 'Apply' and then 'Ok.'

The steps are as follows:

  • On the ribbon panel, select View Design Center, as shown below:
  • A dialogue window will popup, with the following text:
  • From the drop-down menu, select the Visualstyles option.

  • Off-Screen Palette Display Position (X, Y)
  • On the command line, type CUI.
  • On the left, select the workspace.
  • On the right, click the "Customize Workspace" button.
  • Select "Properties" from the "Palettes" menu.
  • Make the following changes to the appearance settings: Show: Don't modify anything....
  • At the top of the page, click "Done," then "OK."

In AutoCAD, the Tool Palette is where you may access the various tools. Tool Palette's shortcut command is TP. The tool palette's tools are put into our drawing... It also includes basic patterns, blocks, and other commands that are widely used (Leader, etc.). It's also possible to share, import, and export the tools.
