Interfere Command

The Interference command is used to identify and resolve conflicts in a drawing. This command can be used to find and remove duplicate or interfering objects, or to find and display all the objects that are not in the current selection set.

The Interfere Command is a skill that can be used to disrupt your opponent's movement or to get them out of your way. You can also use it to help you get up high or on top of objects that are otherwise inaccessible.

The interference in AutoCAD can be classified into two types:

  • Geometric Interference: This type of interference is caused by the geometrical constraints of the design. Some examples are parallel lines, tangent circles and overlapping surfaces.
  • Geometric Tolerance: This type of interference is caused by the tolerance that has been set on dimensions in the drawing. The tolerances are based on a dimension’s precision, which is expressed as a number of digits to the right of the decimal point.
