FAQs

In AutoCAD, the mirror command is used to make a duplicate (mirror copy) of the specified object. After mirroring the item, we can also delete the original object. Objects that represent half of an object can be reflected over a central line to produce the other half.

3D Mirror Command is a feature in the 3DS Max. It is available in four modes:

Standard: It is used to create a mirror image of the model.

  • XYZ: It is used to create a mirror image of the model on an X-Y plane.
  • XYZ with Axis Constraint: It is used to create a mirror image of the model on an X-Y plane with axis constraint.
  • XYZ with Axis Constraint and Point Constraint: It is used to create a mirror image of the model on an X-Y plane with axis constraint and point constraint.

Mirroring objects in AutoCAD can be done with the help of 3D Mirror Command. This command can be used to create symmetrical drawings, like the one below.

The 3D Mirror Command can be accessed from the Modify tab of the Ribbon, by clicking on the 3D Objects button and selecting the Mirror tool. The command can also be accessed from the Home tab by clicking on the Modify panel and then selecting the 3D Objects button and finally choosing Mirror.

The purpose of a 3D mirror is to make people feel more comfortable with their appearance. It also makes it easier for them to get ready in the morning because they can see themselves from every angle.
