The Copy and Paste Objects function can be used to copy objects from one drawing to another, or from one layer in a drawing to another.

The cut and paste object is used to copy objects from one drawing to another. This can be done by selecting the desired objects and then pressing "Ctrl+X" or "Ctrl+C" on your keyboard. This will make a copy of the selected object(s) on your clipboard so you can then go over to the other drawing and press "Ctrl+V" or "Ctrl+P".

The steps to copy and paste in AutoCAD are as follows:

  • Select the object you want to copy.
  • Press Copy on the keyboard, or select Copy from the Home tab of the ribbon.
  • Move your cursor to where you want to place the copied object, then press Paste on the keyboard, or select Paste from the Home tab of the ribbon.

  • To cut an object in AutoCAD, you need to select it first and then use the right-click menu to select "Cut". The object will be removed from the current drawing and will then be available for pasting.
  • To paste an object in AutoCAD, you need to select it first and then use the right-click menu to select "Paste". The object will be inserted into the current drawing at the location of your cursor.

The copy, cut and paste object is a very useful tool in AutoCAD. It is often used to create duplicate objects in one step. The copy, cut and paste object can be used to duplicate any type of object. This includes lines, points, arcs, circles and text.
