The Copy and Paste Objects function can be used to copy objects from one drawing to another, or from one layer in a drawing to another.
The cut and paste object is used to copy objects from one drawing to another. This can be done by selecting the desired objects and then pressing "Ctrl+X" or "Ctrl+C" on your keyboard. This will make a copy of the selected object(s) on your clipboard so you can then go over to the other drawing and press "Ctrl+V" or "Ctrl+P".
The steps to copy and paste in AutoCAD are as follows:
Select the object you want to copy.
Press Copy on the keyboard, or select Copy from the Home tab of the ribbon.
Move your cursor to where you want to place the copied object, then press Paste on the keyboard, or select Paste from the Home tab of the ribbon.
