The Insert Block command is a tool that allows users to insert a block of text into their document. This can be done by selecting the desired block of text and then clicking on the Insert Block button. The user can also highlight the desired block of text and then use CTRL+B to insert it into the document.

The Insert command is a very useful tool in AutoCAD. It is used to insert new objects into the drawing.

The benefits of using the Insert command are as follows:

  • It is used to insert new objects into the drawing.
  • It can be used to copy and rotate an existing object, or to move an existing object from one location to another.
  • The user can adjust the height, width, and angle of a copied or rotated object.

There are many types of blocks in AutoCAD. The following is a list of the different types of blocks and what they are used for:

  • Point Blocks: Used to create 3D geometry and 2D drawings. Point blocks can be used as a reference for other block types.
  • Lines: Used to create 2D drawings.
  • Shapes: Used to create 2D drawings with more than one line segment.
  • Text: Used to add text to a drawing or block.
  • Dimensions: Allows you to add dimensions between two points on a drawing or block, such as the length of a line or the distance from one point on a drawing to another point on the same drawing.
  • Hatching/Patterns: Allows you to fill

  • The Insert command is used to insert blocks into a drawing.
  • To insert a block, you need to select the Insert command from the Block menu.
  • You can also use the keyboard shortcut I to insert blocks.
  • When you are prompted for a block insertion point, pick an insertion point on the screen where you want to place the block.
  • You will be prompted for a name for the inserted block; enter any name that is relevant and then press Enter or click OK.

Inserting a block is a way to insert an image from the library of blocks. Inserting a drawing is a way to insert an image from the library of drawings.

Inserting a block:

  • Tap on the "Blocks" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Select the desired block from the menu that appears.
  • Drag and drop it into your document, where you want it to appear, then resize it by dragging one of its handles with your finger.

Inserting a drawing:

  • Tap on "Drawings" tab at the top of screen and select desired drawing from list that appears.
  • Drag and drop it into your document, where you want it to appear, then resize it by dragging one of its handles with your finger
