FAQs

However, because manually selecting external files is time-consuming and error-prone, AutoCAD offers a feature called eTransmit that makes this operation very quick and simple. It creates a ZIP file or folder containing all of the drawing's dependent parts. Make sure you've saved your drawing before using eTransmit.

You can open eTransmit from the AutoCAD menu by selecting File>eTransmit. Modify the Transmittal configuration by clicking it. You'll notice that eTransmit provides a wealth of options. You can adjust the path option to put all of your AutoCAD files in one folder.

ETransmit is a business email encryption software. It encrypts emails and attachments in the blink of an eye. Emails are encrypted as they are sent, so that your data is protected in transit, as well as when it reaches its destination.

The benefits of using Etransmit are:

  • Encrypted emails and attachments in the blink of an eye
  • Emails are encrypted as they are sent, so that your data is protected in transit, as well-as when it reaches its destination
  • Protects against hackers
  • Provides protection for sensitive or classified information

This procedure ensures that you send all of your associated files, ensuring that the recipient does not miss any information (pictures, XREF'd drawings, etc.). Solution: With the drawing you wish to ETransmit open in AutoCAD

By pressing the Add File button on the bottom of the Current Drawings window, as shown in the image below, you can add additional files to the eTransmit package. The Enter Messages panel is located below, and it allows you to add notes to the package for the recipient.
