A user identification, often known as a user ID, is an identifier that is used to identify a user on a website, in software, in a system, or in a general IT environment. It is the most widely used authentication method in computer systems.
It works by compiling bits of data into an identifier, which is then used to track persons across several websites. While multiple users may own the same device, each one will be set slightly differently based on the user's own preferences and needs.
The key to a strong user experience is to understand your target users. You can't create a customised experience until you have a thorough grasp of the people who will be using it. UX becomes a market differentiator when you know your users since it provides customers the impression that the product is personalised to them.
