Countermeasures to Prevent Email Hacking

Make sure your computers have up-to-date anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall software. You must also keep them up to date on the most recent malware and security flaws that have been uncovered. The best method to achieve this is to use automated updates.

  • In the message you're writing, go to File > Properties.
  • Select the Encrypt message contents and attachments check box under Security Settings.
  • After you've finished writing your message, click Send.

The short answer is that figuring out who stole your email account is exceedingly unlikely.

Every computer user does it on a daily basis, without giving it a second's thought. This commonplace action opens the door for unscrupulous hackers to gain access to your computer. Your passwords can be changed, bank accounts compromised, and your identity stolen just by opening or clicking a link in an email.

Select your name from the drop-down menu under Settings. Hide My Email can be found in iCloud. To stop receiving emails from a provider, tap its name and toggle the Forward To switch off.
