Hackers can utilise WebView to steal user data and get broad device access by exploiting the Chromium vulnerability.
Look for the Android System WebView software on the Google Play Store.
Select Disable from the drop-down menu to turn off the app. You might also use your phone. To turn it off, go to Settings > Apps > Android System Webview > Disable.
Android Browser is the default browser for Android phones and is similar to Chrome. Web View is a browser that runs within an app. It's not the browser that comes installed by default; instead, it only runs inside programmes that load content.
The flaw was discovered in the Android component WebView, which allows web pages to be shown within apps. If the user of the phone clicks on a malicious link while using WebView, they may be hacked. Such applications could read information from WebView after installing an update with a malicious payload.
Is Android System WebView required? The short answer to this question is yes, Android System WebView is required. However, there is one exception to this rule. If your phone is running Android 7.0 Nougat, Android 8.0 Oreo, or Android 9.0 Pie, you can securely disable the app without causing any problems.
