Indian Regulators for Cyber Security

The Information Technology Act of 2000 (the IT Act) 5 includes rules for electronic data protection. The IT Act distinguishes between 'cyber contraventions' (Sections 43(a)–(h) that are prosecuted civilly and 'cyber offences' (Sections 63–74) that are prosecuted criminally.

The Indian government established the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team under Section 70B of the IT Amendment Act (CERT-In). CERT-In is a national nodal agency that handles computer security incidents as they happen.

The GCI 2020 has been topped by the United States. On the second place, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia are tied.

Denmark, which came in first place for most cybersecure countries, received an overall cybersafety score of 8.91, with a score of 0.117 on the Cybersecurity Exposure Index.
