  • Step 2: Get in touch with the Recursive DNS Servers.
  • Step 3: Inquire with the Authoritative DNS Servers.
  • Step 4: Get a hold of the DNS record...
  • Step 5: Complete the DNS configuration.

  • Go to icann.org/lookup.
  • Type your domain name into the search window and click Lookup.
  • Scroll down to Registrar Information on the results page. Your domain host is generally the registrar.

Attackers can take control of a router and change the DNS settings, impacting all users who are connected to it. Attackers intercept communication between a user and a DNS server and offer different destination IP addresses referring to malicious sites in man-in-the-middle DNS attacks.

DNS poisoning is a method of deceiving a DNS server into thinking it has received valid information when it has not. When web addresses are transformed into numeric IP addresses, it results in the substitution of bogus IP addresses at the DNS level.
