Web hacking: JavaScript is currently one of the most popular programming languages for breaking into web applications. Because most web applications use JavaScript or its libraries, knowing JavaScript allows hackers to find vulnerabilities and carry out web exploitation.

The certification of Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is earned by demonstrating expertise of analysing the security of computer systems by looking for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems using the same information and tools as a malicious hacker, but in a lawful and legitimate manner.
