TOPIC: How to Use Array Style Polar Array in AutoCAD
Hello friends!
Welcome to Learnvern!
I am (name) and I welcome you all to today's video. In the last video we learned about Array Style where we learned different styles such as Rectangle or Rectangular Array. In today's video we learned about Array Style where we will learn and discuss the third and last style that is Path Array, so let's start today's video as I told you before only that within Array style, we have three options available with us the first one is Polar Array, the second one is Rectangular Array and the third one is Path Array. So the first two styles, we have already discussed in the last video, means these things have been already taught by me, so in today's video we learn about the third style that is Path array, so before beginning the Path Array, object and path these two things should be available with us that means, If I make use of polyline and draw a line so you can see from here to here, a continuous line is been available with us so I can make use of Polyline or from here I can also make use of special line like if I draw a line here so that also would give us a path here so that we will discuss later. So here I will make available an object for you so somewhat like this. so we will keep the object here along with movement and can also set it upwards.
Now, what I have to do is I have to go within Array Command so I can go from here and can select path Array or AR the shortcut key that I can make use of then I have to select Object and will press Enter and then the information will be asked of which array style to be used so if I go here to a path so they will one more time ask me onto which path do I need to place an object and we have to its multiplication drawing. so we will select it and you can see that whatever object I have selected has been drawn here. so according to the path, it is drawn here. one more thing is, here we have Rows that I can change according to myself. For example here, One row is available and I make it to three. Then you can see three rows have been drawn here so now I will keep only one row.
First, let's know the basics. so here you can see that in the last video we saw that when we have inserted an array style that time has not made the drawing associated. So now if I want to change it then the only single unit that means I have to select each of the units one after the other and then I have to delete it. so you have to take care of these things one more time we will do Control and Z (CTRL+Z) and One more time we will use the polar style and there, sorry, path array or object i have selected then enter it and then our path has been entered then here the rows that are here. you all have already seen how do we add it then one more thing is there the path that is from here to here ,it is available with us with Dimension so let if here these two objects are there and i want to change the distance between the two so i can do that from here ,200 enter, so you can see it changes somewhat like this now if i make it 300 so it is set somewhat like this okay. Now if I want to change the number, I can change that number from here okay. so from here we have two options available with us so the first option is Divide and the second option is Measure. so if i go to measure so I can see that this line which has been drawn is already been drawn in the measure if i take in Divide so you can see I can change items as well. So what is the difference between Divide and measure? that we have learnt in our previous videos also. So today too, I will tell you this line that is our path from starting to end. It has its dimensions and there are these items. if i fix these items here, I make items 10 so it will be according as per its requirement will be set automatically. That means it will divide itself symmetrically so that whatever distance will be there in between the two will be equal, so in order to divide it in equal parts we use Divide. if i use measure so let if i want to change here the distance which is 350 not but 400. so this would as per its requirement will also reduce its number and the distance would also be set to 400 in a line ...okay... so something like this we can use Measure and Divide so now we will keep it on Divide ...okay.. and i will set the numbers to 10 then we saw the rows, if i want to set rows to 2, so you can see here that two rows are available, then if i want to set the distance between the two or if I have any requirement that the distance between the two should be 400 so as per that you will insert it so that will be applied here. Then comes Levels, so you can set levels also, now here level is 1 that means if now we see in 3D, so something like this you can see here only at one level the work is going. now here if I set the level to 3, so you can see here distance also.
40.. So, now you can see that the level has now grown into three (3). Okay? Like this. I can also set the distance in between and then the total distance between both levels, as many levels are there, the total distance will be available over here. So, I can change this from here or I can insert it here according to my requirement. So, right now I will keep the level as 1, Okay, and the row will be 1, and for view, I will choose the top view once again. Okay, so, like this…So, we will select upon it, and once again we will use error style, how to do that? Let’s see that. I will select from here, then select the object, and then enter, and this is my path. And here I will do associative. Why did I use an associative? We have discussed in previous videos that if I don’t do associative here then in the future if I want to edit this, I need to individually edit all of them. Okay? So, in the future, if I have to make some modifications then for whatever error style I use, I always use it with an associative. Okay? Then there is Align. So, to align, I will make it with the “SP” line. (5 sec pause) And then enter and here we will take a rectangle, like this. I will rotate this a little bit, like this. (18 sec pause). Okay? Now what I have to do is that I need to do some modifications in this path with error style. So, what I am going to do is that “AR” and then enter and then select the object, and then enter, then the path, and I want it to be applied on this path so, like this, it will be applied. Now the thing I want to show you all is that here are the align-items, so, you can see the direction of my first object, so, the rest of the objects will also be copied like this in the same direction. So, if I want, the path that is changing here, the objects to be changed exactly according to the path, then for that I will do an Align item. Okay? So, the exact distance and angle made here will be exactly set here. Okay? So, you can change from here. Then this is the measure which I have already told you all. Then there is the Tangent line, it is that if I want to change like this then I can also do that. If an object is available with me and I want that object to be tangent then I can also do that. So, if I want to move this then I can also do that. Okay? So, this is the tangent line. (7 sec pause) So, whatever the modifications are, we can apply them here. So, what we have learned here is how to array the items, we can insert the distance between them, and if I want to add numbers so, for that I will go to divide and give the number then it will be changed according to it. Okay? So, if I want to give the distance between them then I will go to measure, and with that, if I give 400, then according to that the changes will be done. Then we learned how to add rows, we can even change the distance between the rows, and whatever distance we change or rows we add, then according to that the total distance will be changed. Then we can add levels, we can set the distance between two levels, and the levels we added and the distance we set, then according to that the changes will be done here. Okay? And this is the base point. So, we can select the base point and with a base point, wherever we select then according to that the changes will be applied…Okay?... We will try it once again. Like if I want to array this object, then “AR” + “Enter”, and then I need to path array, so, we will select the path and like this, it will be available and here the associative is on. Okay? Then here it is the Z direction and we can also control the Z direction when we work in 3D. And if we want to control the Z direction, if we want to set a grip, then we can also do that….So, right now the object is not available. So, for that, I will make another drawing.
