We usually think of ransomware and cryptolocker as less serious attacks, but this isn't the case. According to the latest report by IHS iSuppli, over 60% of ransomware attacks are targeted at personal data or payment cards.

Deleted files (on Windows/NTFS) can be recovered using data recovery and forensics software that searches the file table for entries that have not been changed. If the entries are still present, they will display the file's storage locations.
