Hi Friends, My name is Chetan Panchal. Welcome to learnvern.
In the last lecture of CorelDraw we saw how to design bifold and trifold.
What are the rules for that?
Where to arrange a page where the first page will come and then the second page will come.
We have seen all of that in the last lecture very deeply and creatively.
Today we will see a newsletter.
In newspapers there are many things when we see them we think how can it be done? Ok.
It is very simple. We will start learning that.
For that we will see a standard size of a newspaper from Google.
So that you can know how to do RND about things.
Firstly we will write here.
Broadside, Tabloid and compact these are various sizes we have. Okay.
For inches we will copy this size.
Ok. There we will take a new file and we will paste it here.
So this will be our width and this will be high. Okay.
Normally we have the size of the front page.
Now I want to teach you what we are trying to make?
Like this. I have taken this here so that I can teach you.
Here you can see how nicely this text is set up across the graphic automatically.
See, these things can be done in two ways.
We can make spaces here by clicking space, space.
Otherwise it can be done manually as well after this give enter, again after the enter and it will come down.
Manually it can be done but who has this much time to do everything manually. Okay.
If there is automation Which can help us to do all things firstly.
Learning that is very important.
We will start making a newsletter from here.
Like this is a heading.
We will make a basic one only because our motive is to learn this.
We can select any colour here.
This much is done.
Now we will take a text box in this and we will align it.
You must have seen while reading the newspaper that there are columns here. Ok.
Something like this. One, two ,three, four. Max to max four columns are there.
So to divide all those columns we have one more thing.
You have to go in text and then columns.
There you can see the number of columns is one here make it two so there will be columns.
For now we will take four.
So we will have four columns here as soon as we click on text.
So we will take any dummy text for now about information technology.
On double clicking you will be able to see all columns.
You can paste it here like I did.
And I will select the font as Calibri and font size 25 or 35. 35 is enough.
We will copy this and we will fully justify it.
You can see how all of these are set here nicely.
This paragraph will end here then again we will start reading from here.
Now it is a turn to Learn about that thing we were discussing how we will set any photo, graphic or png here.
So we already have some PNGs.
Like this, we will try to keep this here. Like if we want to keep it here.
Whenever you take any image you have to do some editing because it’s ratio like you can see this boundary, it is a PNG but still it has spacing around it which can create problems for us.
So what we will do is cut it from here very nicely.
Cut it in the sense we will give it a shape according to what it is made of.
At last we will give it a curve.
For now only sharp edges.
Like this you give an outline to this.
You have to add points according to you and set them.
Try to do this nicely. Ok.
I am doing it fast so that I can show you what our main purpose is.
This is a cut now. Ok.
You can see even if we have not done it nicely still its impact will be good it wont look bad.
See i have kept it here but text behind it is overlapping.
So to do that nicely we will click on image first then on wrap text and in that a 3rd option- Straddle text.
As soon as you click on that you will see that the text is adjusted automatically.
Even though you have not done that nicely, it doesn’t seem like that.
You can put this image anywhere.
Ok. I kept it here and it is set.
Ok. We will take this part also in the newsletter.
You can see how it is set here. It has wrapped text nicely.
No text is overlapping and according to shape it is.
This is a very good thing in CorelDraw.
Whenever we make a newsletter in CorelDraw it is very important.
We have learnt all the rules and regulations of newspapers in the brochure's part like alignment, text, images, and how to search for them.
Now what to do Friends, you have to create a newspaper.
Like this in that you have to send any PNG in it like this but the rule will be there should be four photos and all of them should be different.
Try to trim them properly and create the newsletter.
If you have any queries or comments, click the discussion button below the video and post there. This way, you will be able to connect to fellow learners and discuss the course. Also, Our Team will try to solve your queries.
So in the next lecture we will learn about using Script Macros.
This is a very helpful tool in CorelDraw from which we can work very vastly.
We don’t have to waste our time on something.
So we will learn that in the next lecture.
Till then, Thank You!!
CorelDRAW newsletter is a newsletter that is published by Corel Corporation. It is a monthly publication which contains information about the latest developments and improvements of CorelDRAW software.
With CorelDRAW, you can easily create your own newsletter. You can use the tools that are provided in CorelDRAW to create a newsletter template and then apply it to your newsletter.
In addition to the benefits mentioned above, newsletters also allow you to communicate with them in a more personal way. You can send out email newsletters that contain specific information that is relevant to them. For example, if you are selling home décor items, you can send out an email newsletter that contains information about the latest trends in home décor.
Create a newsletter template:
Create a new document, and name it Newsletter Template.
Click File > New > Document, and create a new document with the dimensions of 300 x 300 pixels at 72 dpi.
Set the background color to white, and change the text color to black so that it is easier to read.
Select Type Tool (T) from the Tools menu, and click on the newsletter template document in order to select it as your current document; then press S on your keyboard in order to switch between Type Tool (T) and Selection Tool (V).
To enter your text, click anywhere where you want it to appear in the Newsletter Template and press Ctrl+Enter on your keyboard.
