How To Use Date And Time Functions In Excel Spread Sheet

  • To insert a date, type the date (for example, 2/2), then select Short Date or Long Date from the Home > Number Format option (in the Number tab).
  • To insert the time, go to Home > Number Format menu (in the Number tab) >Time and type the time.

  • First, open your excel spreadsheet and click where you want the Date to be generated.
  • Select the Formulas tab from the main menu ribbon.
  • In the Function Library group, select Date& Time and click the drop-down arrow.
  • From the drop-down menu, choose Date.
  • Fill in the date formula fields that are provided.
  • Press the OK button.
