Then, under the Chart Design tab, click the chart. Select Data Labels from the Add Chart Element menu, then choose a location for the data label choice. Note that based on the type of chart you have, the alternatives will vary. Click Data Callout if you want to present your data label inside a text bubble form.
Click Edit in the Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels box.
Type the labels you want to use in the Axis label range box, separated by commas.
The contents of a cell can be edited directly in the cell. You can also type in the formula bar to change the contents of a cell. Excel is in Edit mode when you change the contents of a cell. In Edit mode, several Excel features work differently or aren't available.
Remove the data labels from the chart by clicking on it. The Design, Layout, and Format tabs are added to the Chart Tools. Choose one of the following options: Click Data Labels in the Labels group on the Layout tab, then click None.
