Vector Tools in Photoshop

In today's session of photoshop we will learn all vector tools

Which means rectangle tool, rounded rectangle tool, ellipse tool, polygon tool and line tool

And we will learn Custom shape tools

Vector tools are also very important in photoshop

To draw or to do something new over an image, or to add new object, we need to use vector tools

Previously We saw one custom shape in pen tool

Library for custom shapes is at this place

In custom shape tool, here is library of custom shape which includes many different tools

We made a shape and added it in a custom shape, here it is.

This is ready made shape and can be used directly this way to draw

You can even make fill or create its path

Here are some ready made shapes given in this way

all these options are vector

By the way photoshop is a raster - based software but the options of all these shapes are vector options

 In addition with this, there are more options like rectangle tool from here you can draw rectangle

Rounded rectangle - its a rectangle itself with rounded corners

Here are some properties of rounded corner

Like width and height of rounded corner

Position, outline color,

outline size - In this way we can make it small or big

Outline style, the learn that we draw, its corner style

Style of Rectangle corner

You can increase or decrease the radius of rectangle’s corner from here 

suppose let's make it 20, see it is increased

Lets increase from here, what happened to increase this from here. You can increase or decrease at any one place.

You can increase the radius of the corner from here like 20, 40

See in this way you can increase or decrease the radius of the corner.

After that here comes the elapse tool

You can make a full round like this way, this is known as elapse tool

 Properties are the same for every tool. You can look for any tool.

Polygon tool, you can increase the feather, as you will increase its feather, see this is getting blurred

After the polygon tool we will see a line tool.

Line tool is a normal line tool

Totally a vector based line tool

First of all click here, take your mouse till the point you want to stretch line

Press shift to make this line straight

Drop it to the end point

See this is the stroke is created this much, outline is created

You can increase or decrease the width from here

And you can change colour from here,

see here are some properties given of the line.

If you want to open properties of the line, so go into windows and turn on properties from here

From here properties will open of line or any vector tool

If you have drawn any vector tool here, properties of that also you will find here

If line drawn so select line, you will get properties of line

Lets select line for now,

In line properties -

First is feather - line will get blur with the proportion to increment

See in this way if you want to blur the line, then we will use the property of line.
