Badge Designing in Photoshop

Our next topic is to design batches.

So we can create those badges in 3D as well as in photoshop.

In Photoshop , for example we have a 3D model which is rendered from both sides

 like , 1. front render and 2. back render.

So , we will merge both and we will add a pattern or design to it and we'll send it to print.

So , it will come out as a print or a sticker which we can stick here.

So , I have taken out these batches as rendered from 3D.

So , here you can see this is my back side render and this is my front side render.

Here I have only designed the part which is visible to us , I have rendered only that part out.

So , now what will we do ? we have this color , if you want to change the color so you can simply select and change the color from the toolbar.

As you can see me doing it with the help of a magic fill tool.

Or else I have given the color of the background and even made a mask of selection.

Whatever color I'll select , that will be filled.

For now , this color is fine for us.

But , what will we do in this?

In this , we can add designs.

For example , I will check a design on the internet on my other screen.

So , there are many patterns , for example , on the top there are many drawings , logos are added , or someone is naming their own branding.

 If someone is a biker , then the bikes are given.

And , if it's about study , there are many badges available for study as well.

So basically , today we'll design 2-3 badges.

First of all , we'll put our logo on the badge and we'll see how it looks , that we designed.

So here I am opening my logo , which is the abstract one. We'll choose it only.

There's nothing to worry about.

From all this , we'll choose the middle logo first.

And we'll form a new layer and we'll fill the black color in that.

And we'll stick that logo on the front side of the badge.

Now , we'll make it a little bit bigger.

Enter And we'll rotate it by pressing Ctrl+J.

What will happen with this?

From this you'll get a new design like this , if you want the designed logo.

If you rotate it more you'll get to see this type of effect.

It looks like a Beyblade.

And you'll get a design like this.

So here's the design with us.

And also , there's one more , which I downloaded , and it is of the Indian flag.

so we can use that kind of logo.

So we'll download the Indian flag.

So , here comes the Indian flag , right.

So here where the logo is kept, I have designed that i will add my logo here.

It will come here printed.

So now we'll save it there , so that it gets perfectly printed on the badge.

We'll close this.

and from here I'll shrink it a little , so that it gets settled easily.

So , it's basically a clipping mask given, nothing else.

Here , as much as I press Ctrl+S , that much will come designed over it.

There are many more designs on this, like we can do our naming etc.

Here I will turn it off.

we'll do the naming of our LearnVern.

We'll increase the size of it, so that it is clearly visible.

We'll put the name in the middle.

And we'll change the color to white , so that it will be clearly visible to us.

It will not be visible here , but it will be visible on the badge.

Let's change it to black.

The logo was not showing up because of the white color in the background.

Because it's almost the same color.

As i Haven't pressed Control+S , that's why it didn't come on the badge.

So , here's our design , and you can set the design manually.

And , you can also do Ctrl+T to it.

You can also set it manually and also Ctrl+T.

You can also rotate it the way you want.

Then there's one more type which includes pattern and design , but in that you have to manually draw the patterns and design.

 So , we'll also see that.

I have opened it on the other side of my second screen. So , let's have a look at that too.

So , we'll choose a pen tool.

After choosing a pen tool , we'll do this type of design.

We'll press ctrl+ENTER.

then We'll click on a new layer and we'll fill the color in it.

We'll press Ctrl+J to this and we'll make this type of a design.

Again , we'll press ctrl+J and let's rotate this.

Let's do ""save as"" and check that we are getting the design on the badge or not.

And the design is clearly visible to us on the badge.

We'll add some small patterns here , very small.

we'll change the color to orange and we'll fill the color.

Press Ctrl+D.

Remember , that we have to always work on a different layer everytime.

So here it's done , a new layer.

press ctrl+J , from this we'll get a new pattern.

We'll make small patterns only.

This is only an example for us.

This is also done.

Let's put our name in between this, so that it will look nice.

The name of learnvern we used earlier , we'll shrink it a little and set it in the middle.

So that the design we'll get will look great.

So we can also do this type of design.

with the help of different designs.

Let me tell you what I've done here.

I have taken a selection and made a mask of it , and stuck it in front of it by converting it into smart objects.

What will happen By doing a smart object? ,

 if you double click on this, you will find a new folder. I think you might know this if you know photoshop , that is how it works.

So whatever you put here , press control+s , so it will get updated.
