Image Autoadjustments and Size Parameters in Photoshop

Now, the image menu includes equalize.

What does equalize do?

sometimes, some part of the image has more dark or light color, than required

in such situation, using equalization results into symmetrical color overall

for instance I'll go here and click,

it will adjust color on its own

in Photoshop, here you are given auto tone, auto contrast, auto color.

What does it do?

if the image does not have proper color contrast, this will automatically adjust the whole image,

you just have to go here and click

In this way, it's color contrast is adjusted.

now here is image size in image

Image size is a very important option.

What does image size do?

if you wish to change the resolution of the image, then image size is used.

if you want to keep the same size and want to increase the resolution here,

so remember this is a rasterize software which will result in blurring of image a little bit.

for example, i will do resolution 300 from here,

see this is blurred a little bit,

so from here i can put any size,

for example, i will put size in pixels

umm i will keep it 500

small image and click okay.

your image has become small

to set the size and resolution of the image, so image size is used

and to change size of Artboard then canvas size,

this is your canvas size for now,

I will increase it to 24 width.

In this way, width will increase from both sides.

if from here i will make it 12,

so here height will increase from both the sides,

but in canvas these arrow keys are given which will be called anchor.

i will close this anchor and after closing it, i will keep its width 22,

so see the artboard is increased from only this side,

which means the arrow that you will close, from that side, there will be no addition.

after that image rotation comes in image,

180 degrees,

90 degree clockwise,

90 degree counterclockwise

arbitrary means you can add any angle as here i am adding clockwise 45,

After that if you want to flip, so flip horizontal, flip vertical.

after that trim comes,

What does trim mean?

if you have cropped the object as i will crop this much portion, this much portion is cut.

now the left over free space..

transparent pixels in image, click ok

so that much portion will be deleted

similarly, its opposite is reveal all

if the image is going outside the artboard.

 in this way

i will do reveal all from here, this will increase my page automatically,

i want to make a duplicate of the file, go here and click ok and duplicated

This is a very useful thing.

you always have to remember one thing , the image where you have to do editing, going in the image and making its duplicate is very necessary.

why?

 because if you save the changes you made in the image will change the original image,

that is why making here duplicate image is very necessary,

so that you won't lose your original image.
