Clone Stamp and Pattern Stamp Tool in Photoshop

 In today’s session we will learn about clone stamp tools and pattern stamp tools.

How it is used and where it is used?

Clone stamp tool.

Clone stamp tool is used the same way we used healing tools previously.

but one of the major differences is, in the healing brush tool, the part of the background gets merged.

but here the background does not get merged.

Meaning whichever area you are copying, that area will get pasted the same to the second area. 

Similarly by pressing alt , you have to select one area.

For example , we will select this area.

Now, we will release the alt key and move it over here, like this.

See,the upper clouds are now being copied over here.

And, if i want to erase the building like this, then this is how I can erase it.

see here it is going a bit out of the line, no problem.

let’s select this much part and erase it.

In this way if you want to erase any object.

then you can use this to erase that.

Clone stamp tool is a very useful tool.

because from the wedding album to everywhere.

this is used too often.

like this we can use this.

in the clone tool, if you want to copy any pattern. 

but you have to reduce transparency .

so you have to reduce the opacity from here.

see, after reducing the opacity and then if we copy it.

then the things remain transparent .

See, first from here we clicked and after clicking.

see , this how the transparent is coming.

also you can see the back portion. 

The new portion we are gonna add can also be seen.

like this way we can use the clone stamp tool.

same as clone stamp tool , one more tool is given pattern stamp tool.

like this way if you want to make a pattern on any object then you can use this.

for example, here I have given some pattern.

lets select one pattern from these, after selecting.

Increasing in the size little bit and then from here I am starting the rubbing now.

See my pattern has started coming here. 

 means ,according to our choice we can put any pattern.

As you know with the help of pattern stamp tool

you can draw any type of pattern. 

from Here pattern library is there,whatever pattern you want to choose, take that pattern and start drawing.

but whichever patterns are given to you, in that if you want to add any of your self-made pattern.

for that you have to use define pattern.

now how this is done? have a look.

I want to make a pattern of wood here.

what i will do is, from the selection tool, I am selecting this much part of the wood.

Now the part which i have selected, after that, going to edit.

Here i have to click define pattern.

the moment i click on define pattern ,

the name of the pattern is being asked .

here you can give the name of any pattern.

over here pattern 1 is written , let's keep that only.

then click okay , now inside of your pattern library the new pattern would have added.

i am going in pattern stamp tool.

here comes the pattern library.

See here is your pattern 1 which we made.

you can use this anyway you want.

we will take new artboard from here .

I am selecting pattern 1 from stamp tool .

now lets rub it , see in this way. 

you can fill your pattern anywhere. 

by increasing the size , let's fill it.

here your pattern is ready.

means you can create your pattern with help of define pattern.

apart from that , although pattern library is here

inside that at this place , various types pattern libraries has given up.

you can also use that. 

As per example, here is pattern 2.

from clicking pattern 2 you have to select append.

if you click append , then in your library in all the patterns, your new pattern will be added.

if you will click okay, then all the old pattern, already there, will go away and new pattern will be added .

I will append from here.

See some patterns are added.

You can use this also in this way.

in library there are many other patterns .
