In today's session we will learn about lasso tool. where and how it is used?.
Here you can see below. One more selection tool is given, named lasso tool.
It's shortcut is L.
You can select randomly anything with the help of Lasso tool .
See I will select something randomly in this way.
you have to select it with the help of the mouse.
The way you will move the mouse, it will move freely in that direction.
In a way, you can also call it a free hand tool.
This is a free hand selection tool.
After that comes another selection tool. It is called a polygonal lasso tool.
This selection tool is the complete point based selection tool.
I am zooming in a bit with Alt and Scrollbar.
Now I am pressing the spacebar.
As I press the spacebar, a hand tool will pop up.
With that hand tool I can move my image.
It means if you are doing some selection work and while working, if you want to move your image with the help of a hand tool.
So you have to press space and you can move your image .
Now I am doing selection with the polygonal lasso tool.
See I click here. As soon as I clicked, a point came.
The way you will move the mouse, you can see it will move in the same way.
The line will always be straight.
This means you have to keep your points along with the straight line.
So that you can do selection.
Like here I show you. Here I clicked once more.
One line has been formed in that part.
And see, I'm going ahead.
See, in this way you have to make further selection.
If we want to go beyond this, then we will press space. And move a little bit with Hand tools .
In this way keep clicking with the mouse and making selection.
See We Have to keep one by one point and make a selection.
You have to remember That line will come as a straight line.
you can't bend it anywhere.
We have to keep the points as close as possible.
See, in this way I am selecting the car.
And keep selecting as you move ahead.
Just keep pressing the space and moving the image with the hand tool.
And keep placing the point there.
I am placing the point. I am moving the page and selecting it.
See in this way,If you want to finish the selection, then from where you started the selection, you need to go back there.
As soon as you go back to that point, a zero sign will appear.
as the sign of zero appears, you have to select it.
Your portion will get selected in this way.
If I want I can cut it with the help of a move tool .
At present, I am doing ctrl+Z and I am deselecting it by ctrl+D.
Now here's another selection tool, the Magnetic Lasso Tool!
What will the Magnetic Lasso Tool do?
As you saw in the lasso tool previously, you need to put points one by one.
Magnetic lasso tool automatically creates the point.
Look, I put the first point here.
And after that only I am moving the mouse .
You can see that the second point is created automatically.
As I move the mouse, the points will be created automatically.
Magnetic lasso tool.
It is not as perfect as a lasso tool.
Because it automatically selects the points.
Look, by pressing the space, it turned slightly downwards.
Again in the Magnetic lasso tool ,I am moving the mouse , the Points are generated automatically.
As I continue to move this forward, new points will keep creating.
In this way this selection is done.
If you want a little bit of perfection in the Magnetic Lasso Tool, then in between somewhere, then in this way you have to select with the mouse click .
You have to keep the point with the mouse click.
What will happen with this?
This will bring some perfection in your selection.
See in this way.
In this way, here I have placed the point by mouse click.
The same thing, I have to go back to the starting point.
In this way, complete the selection .
If you look carefully, this is not a perfect selection.
Because here the points are being created automatically.
Now I deselect it .
If you have to make a selection, the best tool for selection in the photo shop is the pen tool.
Actually the pen tool is not a selection tool.
But the pen tool’s best use is for selection.
Generally the pen tool is a drawing tool .
But we will use this for selection here.
It is also used for drawing but we will see that later.

The lasso tool is used to trace the edges of a selection by clicking and dragging on the active layer of an image. Most software allows you to select numerous closed contours by crossing the edge path multiple times.
Standard Lasso, Polygonal Lasso, and Magnetic Lasso are the three types of Lasso tools accessible in Photoshop. They all allow you to select images, but they do so in different ways to accomplish the same end result.
The Lasso Tool is the simplest version available. Simply move your pointer around your object to build a path by clicking on a beginning point in your canvas. The Lasso Tool will track your mouse's exact motions all the way back to where you started.
The Lasso tool lets you draw a chosen area freehand. Draw straight lines to create a selection area with the Polygonal Lasso tool. Magnetic Lasso tool: Creates a selected region by tracing the edge of a complex image. It's called "magnetic" because it searches for the edges you want to choose.
