A chart is a tool in Excel that allows you to visually explain data. Charts help your audience understand the significance of data and make comparisons and trends much easier to perceive.
Follow these steps to make a column chart:
Fill out a spreadsheet with data.
Select the information.
Choose one of the following options, depending on the Excel version you're using: Select a column chart option by clicking Insert > Insert Column or Bar Chart icon.
Execute the steps below to make a line chart:
Select the A1:D7 range.
Select the Line symbol from the Charts category on the Insert tab.
Select Line with Markers from the menu.
Choose a line chart.
Select data from the Data group on the Design tab.
Click OK after unchecking Dolphins and Whales.
Open your Microsoft Excel workbook and choose your data to create a bar chart. You may either do this manually with your mouse or automatically by selecting a cell in your range and pressing Ctrl+A. After you've chosen your data, go to Insert > Insert Column or Bar Chart.
