Select Info from the File tab. After that, choose Protect Workbook and then Mark as Final.
Begin by opening a workbook.
Select Save As from the File tab.
Choose Browse.
Go to the Tools menu and select General Options.
Type a password in the Password to Modify box and click OK.
Enter the password again and click OK.
Type a file name and save it.
Click the Open tool on the toolbar or choose Open from the File menu. The Open dialogue box will appear.
Find the workbook you wish to open and double-click on its name.
Click the right-hand down-arrow next to the Open button.
From the menu, select Open Read-Only.
